Hand Hygiene

Perform hand hygiene before and after all contact, contact with an infectious substance, and wearing and taking off PPE.

Also, practice regular hand washing for at least 20 seconds or with alcohol-based wipes.

Note: If hands are visibly soiled, use soap and water, not alcohol-based hand rubs.

Ensure that materials to perform hand hygiene are readily available to all personnel.

Certainly, employers must know which PPE is suitable for their workers under the Malaysian OSH Regulations.

Moreover, workers must receive training of when to use PPE and which is necessary. Also, how to properly wear, use, dispose PPE, how to properly disinfect and maintain PPE, and the limitations of PPE.
